Girls & Women Empowerment

First among our lofty objectives is the empowerment of girls and women across Nigeria, and beyond.

Since inception, we have been designing and implementing quite a number of activities targeted to empower and support young women and girls to live quality lives and contribute more to the economic development of the society.

In order to alleviate the challenging unemployment and poverty in the market today, BCROF empowers girls and women with requisite skills to enable them learn new skills or trade. And much more, we support beneficiaries with inputs, tools and micro-finance to become established in the acquired trade or vocation.

For example, BCROF has organized skill-acquisition and empowerment programmes for women on shoe making, bag production and general fabric works. The primary objective of the skill development training is to empower the trainees to increase their productivity.

Among others;

• we support female start-ups in beauty and fashion design to develop the necessary skills and assist them access funding in order to establish and grow their own fashion businesses.
• we promote the rights of girls and women to quality education towards attainment of social and economic development. Under this initiative, we provide scholarships to motivate and promote excellence in female graduating students at the Nigerian Law School and other institutions.
• we advance the health and well-being of women and girls, in the areas of healthcare awareness, reproductive health, foster access to quality treatment and patient’s right.
