BCROF Organises 2-Weeks Skill-Aquisition Training on Leather & Fabric Works

The Chika Rita Okwuosah Foundation ( BCROF) is organising a 2-week skill-acquisition and empowerment training programme for women and girls on leather and fabric works: production of bags and shoes for participants within the Age of 18 and 30 years.

After a careful selection process, fifteen participants were enlisted to undertake the all-expense paid training programme. The primary objective of this skills development training is to empower the trainees to increase their skill-sets and productivity.

It is noteworthy that majority of participants within this programme are having the benefit of  being trained on how to produce bags and shows from leather and fabrics for the first time.  We structured the intensive training in a manner that  every participant will return with a practical, hands-on experience, skills and competence to be able to design and produce bags, shoes and such other handy fashion accessories.

The testimonials from the beneficiaries in the “Abuja Batch” already speak volumes of the success and impact on the initiative. Thus, we would communicate the schedule of the next stream in due course.
